about us

generation herb grows on leased land in craftsbury and south albany, vermont, locally known as the northeast kingdom. our operation is small-scale so that we can focus on quality. we provide fresh and dried herbs to herbalists, makers, herb shops, and everyday people.

generation herb came to life in 2020, a year of profound reckoning—both locally and globally. we believe plant medicine has an important role to play in healing the cracks in our connections to our own selves, to one another, and to the land we stand on. most importantly—our plants are for everyone. as we grow this little venture, we’ll be building ways to make our herbs more accessible and make herbal support more equitable along the way.

about our growing process

building the soil for future generations is our #1 responsibility.  we strictly follow organic practices. we never use harmful materials on our plants, we sow cover crops to give back to the soil, and we only amend using organic ingredients. we focus on growing crops that are a great match for our northeast climate; they can thrive without much intervention from us. when we're ready to harvest, the herbs are batch dried in a homemade system that's adjusted to their individual needs. we process everything by hand. the end product: herbs that pack a punch and that support thriving of people and planet.
